"These are character designs for a non-existent animated series that was supposed to be set in a forest and a pub."
Read more about the original ancestor of Chuchel here.

Interesting!  Now I see that there's some chatter about this "Space Cigar" possibly being of alien origin.
(anyone ever read Arthur C. Clarke's "Rendezvous With Rama"?)

Astronomers Want To Know: Does This Interstellar Visitor Have A Message For Us?
"Researchers working on long-distance space transportation have previously suggested that a cigar or needle shape is the most likely architecture for an interstellar spacecraft, since this would minimize friction and damage from interstellar gas and dust... [researchers will] be checking on that hypothesis by scanning the object for possible artificial transmitters through a radio telescope at West Virginia's Green Bank Observatory."

I will continue to update this topic. ~A

Here are the save files that I had after finishing the game (I'd used all save slots...spread out over the entire game).
The save files for Windows can be found here:
c:\Users\[USER-NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Amanita-Design.Samorost3\Local Store\
The save files for Mac can be found here:
{YourHomeFolder}/Library/Application Support/Amanita Design/Samorost 3

You'll want to take the entire Samorost 3 folder and trash it, then replace it with this one:

Hey everyone, so my progress was lost and I was right up to the last planet. Sniffing around the internet a bit I found that there are .sol files with different saves.

Would anyone share the .sol file for the 4th Planet? Or if there are other codes etc. to skip that would be great.

Much appreciated!

Hmm... I don't believe Amanita is rereleasing the iOS version of the game. Perhaps you're referring to the Definitive Version on PC?
Where in particular are you having problems getting the robot to move?

PCGamer article about Amanita Design games available on Itch.io

Czech developer Amanita Design is currently holding a small sale on Itch.io. The sale runs through 3 pm Pacific this Saturday, December 9, and includes four of Amanita's best adventure games.

First up, Botanicula, a humorous tale of seedlings. We called it a different kind of adventure that quickly grows on you in our review, and it still holds up as one of Amanita's finest. It's on sale for $3 at 70 percent off.

Next there's Machinarium, a veritable steampunk sister to Botanicula. It's every bit as excellent, and is also $3 at 70 percent off.

Finally, Samorost 2 and Samorost 3 are just under $2 and $6 respectively. Samorost 3 is arguably Amanita's masterwork.

If you're hungry for more Amanita, have a gander at the official trailer for their next game: Chuchel, the story of an angry hairball and his cherry. More on that here.

Frustrated with Machinarium on ipad. Whether using touch control or curser mode, much of the time I cannot get the machine to move when it is supposed to. I end up having to repeat a lot of steps because of this. There was a post in 2014 I think with the same issue. I saw a post that they were redoing some things and rereleasing this year. Seems there shouldn’t be an issue at this point. Is it just me or what? Ideas?? Thanks.

From the "GamingOnLinux" site comes this post by liamdawe, 1 December 2017 at 12:44 pm UTC :

Amanita Design [Official Site], developer of beautiful games like Machinarium and Botanicula is another well known name to put their games up on the itch store.

They now have these titles on there which support Linux:

    Botanicula Soundtrack + Art Book
    Machinarium Soundtrack + Art Book
    Samorost 2

You can find their itch.io store page here, with links to their games. They're all on sale too, a perfect time to grab them if they still haven't picked up a copy.

As a big fan of itch.io, I'm really happy to see more well known developers put their games on it. Their store is slick and easy to use, but the icing on the cake is their speedy open source game client.
