Osada is here, and it is a mind-boggling musical and visual experience. Grin

Found an informative comment regarding Osada in a Rock, Paper, Shotgun post:

Quote:
you should visit czech republic, this game is quite a lot about typical czech vacation. czech people, for some reason, love exactly this bizzare slavic-westernish style. in summer, they enjoy riding rivers down in little boats, playing portable radios, wearing camo clothes, drinking beer and awful lemonades, roasting cheap sausages without any taste on the stick and in the evening, playing country music with lyrics about wild west. “osada” means “settlement” in czech, these are small western-fashioned summer colonies on the river, where people on the boats usually stop, cook dinners and party all night.  this “game” really reminds me of this strange way of spending vacation.  ~oldasadlo

This comment helps me better understand both Osada AND the "New Czech Anthem by Libuse Vendlova, Zdenek Danek and Adolf Lachman" blog post from February 2010.   Grin

Indeed, I felt somewhat nostalgic while playing around with Osada. Although I live in England now, I was born in Eastern Europe (but not the Czech Republic) and spent my childhood there. Maybe that's the reason for the strange sensation of suddenly feeling homesick Tongue

Osada is a great little game (art?), I'm able to spend quite some time fiddling with the props, the tunes and the music itself. Love the atmosphere.

Thanks for this creation, great work as always!

This game is really exciting! These indians, this game on the harmonica - it's amazed me.
Most of all I liked the episode where three men singing in the boat.
I have a question:

These people

male or female?

(sorry for my bad English)

Just look at their shaved legs.  They're either women or they're cyclists!   Grin

Shocked Cowboys - cyclists? It's more than awesome))
I think, it is not important, because in this game everything is possible.
