Title: Inspired Post by: Zander on August 15, 2010, 09:48:30 am What desolate and barren scene is this?
A fortress-city in a cratered land, Perhaps the relic of some fearful war, Beneath a sepia-enshrouded sky, Where winged automata flit to and fro. And now behold, as from the topmost tower A shape appears, draws nearer through the air, And homes in on a nearby garbage dump Where metal bodies, metal heads and limbs, Are piled in rusting heaps of disarray. The drone now hovers o'er the steaming pile, Opens its rearmost hatch and from within A clangorous cascade of scrap discards, And last of all a body and a head Which fall to land upon two separate heaps, Two limbs now lost. Its humdrum duty done, The garbage drone returns upon its way And all is still. But what is this? A glow, A glimmering of sentience still remains Within the eyes; and now the body stirs, Shakes off its covering and tries to rise, And falls to earth next to its sundered head. A moment, and the two rejoin as one. But why is this robotic exile here? For what offence, what wrong, has he been thrown Still living to the scrapyard? Watch and learn. For there are many strange events to come Within this world of MACHINARIUM. Title: Re: Inspired Post by: Wrenbot on September 16, 2010, 03:48:42 pm Good job :) sharing the Machinarium love
