Yeah... I know I need the piece to get the electricity on but I couldnt figure out how to get the bird to give the piece back so I looked at the ingame walkthrough. Either I didnt understand the picture (it just shows the robot in full lenght moving across the birge and then the bird falling off) or it doesnt work... I cant get any further since I need the friking cat... and I cant get the cat if I dont have the piece...

the bird plays copycat with you. get under the wire and go up and down til it breaks

I think I tried that but how long does it take?

try to get close to the center of the wire and just keep going up and down it will break

Well since there is 2 positions under the wire where I can change the lenght (near the door and near the centre) there isnt much choice... Ive tried it, doesnt work... I jsut have to stand in place and change the lenght?

After 5 minutes of trying it worked... Thats not funny, if I need to "figure out" more solutions like this I want my money back...

Walk to the middle of the bridge. Now play accordeon with Josef, up and down really fast with your mouse! It was just a matter of seconds for me I assure you.

there only 2 position in the brigde ,near the hospital and near the enter of the brigde ,but i will try again

Try the one close to the electric box.

I tried it on the spot nearest to the arcade hall and I did it sorta slow (the accordion playing) but the wire still broke after a few seconds. So if it took you 5 minutes you did something wrong.

after the bird fall and get the cat so why can't i get to the arcade center (in the book ,something fall down and the door open)

You need a special ticket to get in. In order to do so you have to help out a fellow robot ;)

was rocking my mouse like 5-6 minutes on each position on the bridge. consulted the "magic" book and completed the electric puzzle first - of courde without the missing piece -

I have tried everything Ive seen posted and I still can't get the wire to break....my hands are in the air and Im saying "Im DONE!"That really bites to be stumped at what should be a simple puzzle....

I also have the problem with it. It just won't break. It's _REALLY_ annoying! I've completed other things on that screen before I don't know but it shouldn't probably matter! What am i don't wrong? Or is it a bug?

Try moving your mouse up and down slowly. If you do it too fast, it won't work. I moved it at a moderate pace and each time the wire went a bit further from it's origin, until it eventually broke and the bird fell down.

I have tried it slow....quick....upsidedown on my head... ;D no luck...Im begging..if anyone has a savegame file right after this I would really appreciate it!!!!

Nope won't break. Its simply too difficult. It should break after few moves and if so many poeple have problem with it than its a bug.

Im watching a walkthrough on youtube right now to see if maybe I see someone do it it might help...

edit: nope-didn't help...they didn't do it any differently than I have tried several dozen times now...its got to be a bug!!!!!

Ok it is a rhythm thing guys. I had trouble with this at first. You want as much tension on the wire as possible, so move it in rhythym with the bird and it will break.

Hey! Thanks, I managed to do it thanks to your video. Still, I think its way too tricky. That together with flash mouse cursor beeing not 100% smooth and responsive on my machine(and I've got 2ghz dual core cpu) makes it annoying.

While this is one clever thought out puzzle, it can be nasty to complete. I had my troubles with it too. :)

Indeed. It took me more time to get that wire snap than to complete the whole rest of the game.

I think the problem is that this scene is quite CPU/memory heavy and can be a bit sluggish on some computers, which can make getting the mouse to move the way you want quite a challenge.

For anyone having this problem: turn off the fullscreen - the game will work much faster!

I cant get the wire to break either.  I've tried both positions and nothing.  Is there a trick to it?  I've tried fast and slow, but no go. 

Got it - My computer is a little slow on spots so the wire wasnt moving up and down.  I slowed it down and timed it so the wire started swinging up and down and it finally snapped.  Thanks everyone!
