Title: Little Wheel Post by: ABoretz on June 12, 2009, 05:16:52 pm I haven't played this yet but from the description my guess is that this game was inspired by Machinarium. ;)
"There was once a world of living robots. But one day a bad accident occured in the main power generator. The world fell into a deep sleep. Bring life back to the world!" http://fastgames.com/littlewheel.html (http://fastgames.com/littlewheel.html) Title: Re: Little Wheel Post by: ABoretz on June 12, 2009, 09:11:33 pm Nice music. Nice "vibe". The creators One Click Dog http://www.oneclickdog.com/ (http://www.oneclickdog.com/) are from Slovakia (next door to The Czech Republic).
It makes me wonder what up with you guys in that part of the world and robots?! Makes me want to play Machinarium even more ;D According to their website, they're about to bring out a new game, similar to this Little Wheel. There will be a demo so I'm hoping for a longer and similarly well made game, even if we have to pay for it. Game creators like them deserve money. Now... I have the cash so where's my copy of Machinarium? ;)
Oh, almost forgot: Thanks for the link! Title: Re: Little Wheel Post by: baschwek on June 28, 2009, 07:56:46 pm It makes me wonder what up with you guys in that part of the world and robots?! "Robot" is a Czech word that means roughly "slave." It was first used in a 1921 play by Carel Kapek, Rossum's Universal Robots (RUR from your image link), in which sentient machines, produced and sold as laborers, revolt against the humans. Robot was invented in czech republic, at least as a word :-) Title: Re: Little Wheel Post by: h4tt3n on July 09, 2009, 11:21:01 am Wonderful little game vignette. The black shilouette graphics reminds me of the 2006 animation short film "The Mysterious Geographical Explorations of Jasper Morello", which you can view by following this youtube link:
