Title: Is it possible to exchange save files?
Post by: rubbermuck on October 17, 2009, 06:49:20 pm
I have downloaded the PC version first, but now I want to continue on my Mac, is there a way to transfer the save file?

Refer to this thread: http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/topic,358.0.html (http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/topic,358.0.html)

I have no idea how MAC manages User files, but you should start a new game on your MAC and save in a slot. Start looking for "Machinarium.sol" and replace it with your other "Machinarium.sol" file.

Hope this helps.

Machinarium.sol is stored in:
~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/XXXXXXXX/machinarium.com/
XXXXXXXX = some random letters and numbers

Update:Actually it is stored in
~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/XXXXXXX/localhost/Applications/Machinarium/Machinarium.app/
or
~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/XXXXXXX/localhost/Applications/Machinarium/Machinarium.app/Contents/Resources/movie.swf/

I will try it out later which is the right one.

The forum now has a repository of saved games that players can download and use.

See: Shared Machinarium .sol Files (http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/board,13.0.html)
