Title: Changing Resolution
Post by: botiful on April 20, 2012, 02:09:37 am
So, i just bought Botanicula from the humble bundle site and so far, I am having a blast..such a fantastic game! But I do have one problem. Even when I change my window size to 100%, it goes to 1024x768 instead of my native 1366x768 resolution. I tried the settings file under BotaniculaSaves in my documents, but wasn't able to figure out how to change the resolution. I hope someone here can help me. Thanks in advance! :D

I installed Machinarium to check its config under the mistaken recollection it had support for 1366x768. There are explanations for why this was not the case here (http://amanita-design.net/forum/index.php?topic=1257.0) and here (http://amanita-design.net/forum/index.php?topic=928.0). As support for this resolution has not been added to Machinarium since its release I'm not holding my breath for Botanicula.

WHAT THE HELL! So the only fix for this is to buy a bigger monitor?! I am so disappointed right now..

My solution is to play in a window at 60%. It helps that I have a nice desktop background (http://www.gaia10.us/gallery/gallery-summer/) that I think compliments the game and is there for not as distracting as the black bars you see on fullscreen. Having a great time.
