Any idea what could be causing Machinarium to be incompatible with my Asus Transformer?

The trouble might be on your end. Page 3 of collected comments here (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.net.machinarium.Machinarium) from someone named "Zaragon" on May 15, 2012 (EeePad Transformer TF101 with version 1.0) is not having trouble. ( is that the same model that you are using? )

yeah, that's stupid, I know, but only this helped to play it on my Samsung galaxy tab ::)
