Title: About the letters in the hintbook
Post by: Elixir on August 02, 2012, 03:16:45 pm
Hi. I just got to know this game and I'm really enjoying your work.
Thanks to all of your hard work.

Anyway, I have a question about the letters in the hintbook.
I guess the words might be written in english and you just changed only the characters.
I'm very curious about the contents in the book. It seems really interesting and I think I gotta understand the world of machinarium and the background information more deeply.

I tried to find translation or something, but it didn't work :D
Would you please let me understand the hintbook?
Or I'd like to know how to match the machinarium language and English characters.

(Please forgive me if my English is not good. English is not my mother tongue :D)

Sorry to tell you that there is no translation available for the text in the hint book pages.
Adolf Lachman (http://adolflachman.cz/hint-book-pages/2693/) made up that alphabet to compliment the main purpose of the hint book, namely the walkthrough images! (which he also did)   ;D

BTW, I also share your interest in those pages.  I even tried to play the musical notes in the final hintbook page (http://i957.photobucket.com/albums/ae57/morpheustek/29-SkyscraperRooftop.jpg) to see if they matched the music puzzle...  but they don't :~(
