Title: Problems playing the game on PC / Mac / Linux?
Post by: ABoretz on October 18, 2009, 10:50:59 pm
If you are having a "slow response/performance" issue while playing Machinarium on either a Windows or Linux or Mac computer please try one (or all) of these tweaks:

Try either
  • turning off hardware acceleration as described in the FAQ (http://u.cubeupload.com/ABoretz/FAQ.jpg) at Machinarium.net (http://machinarium.net/)
  • and/or disabling full-screen mode while you're playing
  • if using Windows 7 be certain font size is at 100% AND turn off hardware acceleration (thanks to Phil for that info (http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?topic=1233.msg5944#msg5944))

If none of those suggestions work please post your question (including all details, such as which operating system version you are using) in the appropriate board for your system type:
  • Machinarium on Windows (http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?board=49.0)
  • Machinarium on Linux (http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?board=11.0)
  • Machinarium on Mac (http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?board=41.0)
.

If you are having technical problems while playing Machinarium on iPad or Android please post your question (including all details, such as which operating system version you are using) in the appropriate board for your system type:

  • Machinarium iPad Version(s) (http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?board=14.0)
  • Machinarium Android Version (http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?board=35.0)
.

If the game is running fine on your computer but you are stuck or confused by a puzzle and can't figure it out, look for a solution or post your question in the Machinarium Puzzle Q&A (http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?board=10.0) thread.  iPad and Android players should be able to find puzzle solutions there too.  (Except for a few changes the original puzzles stayed the same when Machinarium was ported to hand held devices)
