Post by: mariusmanta on April 11, 2017, 08:39:12 am
Hello,
Please help me with some info on this product. I want to buy Machinarium game, but that
German variant that contains a plush toy. It is stated that it is an German version. Because
i do not know German, my question is this> can I play that German version also in English?
Secondly, is it windows 10 compatible?
Thank you,
Marius Manta

By "German variant" I'm guessing you mean this (https://www.amazon.de/Machinarium-Limited-Fan-Edition-2012-Plüsch-Robo/dp/B009GDVTZ2) one, yes?

Not knowing German won't be a problem as long as you familiarize yourself with the opening screen (which is the only time text is used to explain what to do during the game).

You can read the English text by playing the Machinairum demo here (http://machinarium.net).  After that first screen there are no more text hints/explanations given.  All other hints are provided by the "kill the spiders" mini-game hint feature that only shows visual walkthroughs of each level.

Here is the first "explanation" given at the beginning of the game...

As to your question about whether Windows 10 will play the game, the answer is: yes.  :)
Plug "Can Windows 10 play Windows XP games" into your favorite search engine for the explanation about how to "run a program in compatibility mode".
