Title: an old mac game somewhat like machinarium
Post by: wo0dle buG on December 31, 2009, 02:32:50 am
hey all, i love the game. the art is so tastey!
i seem to recall a game but want to find its name!

it had simple 2d graphics. lots of blues and greys. an alien like world with a simple character.
point and click. the guy may have crash landed. i am not sure.
i believe it was a shareware product. this would have been 7 or more years ago.
i remember intriguing music like machinarium. i think i t was windy. the character had to cross a gorge... an strange plant struck him down.

i know its a longshot

Sounds a lot like Another World (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Another_World_(video_game)).  It's an interesting comparison because both games succeed largely based on their devotion to atmosphere.  Both are relatively short games, but every detail helps build an entire world beyond the scope of the game itself.
