i just finished Knytt Stories, it's has absolutely beautiful minimalistic graphics, great music, sounds and gameplay.

Yeah ! Nifflas' works are amazing.
And I know that he is also a Samorost fan.

Knytt Stories are my favorite game not to count towards Samorost 2.  Grin

I prefer Knytt to Knytt Stories, but the Gaia level and the umbrella are really cool.
