Please note that this is not the same problem as described here: http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/topic,463.0.html

I have tried the fixes in the thread above even though its not the same problem. No change.

When attempting to save progress in the game, the save slots revert back to the start of that "level". Slots stay fine on reboot, etc, and save/load that level properly, but progress in that particular level is lost.

Running XP SP3 and flash 10.0.42.34.

Any ideas?

The save function in Machinarium isn't the same as you might have experienced in other games; say like where you save in some game just before opening a door in case there's a monster ready to crunch you.   Wink

The save in Machinarum is more like the "Level Load" feature in Samorost 2 which brings you to the *beginning* of the level you've chosen, not to the moment after your last move.  (at least that's been my experience, give or take an inventory item or two)
