GAME ENDING BUG

made it all the way without hints or walkthrough, but now im stuck for good because i didn't pick up the oil can before opening the sewer cap, now i can't collect the sunflower oil. there sure are a lot of game ending glitches in this game. will this ever be patched, or fixed? no way im going to play through 3 hours of this game again to get back to where i am.

Something's definitely wrong with your inventory.  After you provided the oil for the old-timer to grease his wheels he should have rolled off the sewer cap and then handed you a 2nd oil can to collect the sunflower seed oil.

Depending on what version of the game are you playing (PC/MAC, purchased download or Mamba disc or even ~um~ pirate) you may have to apply some patches to play the game successfully.  (just remember to apply patch 01 first and then 02).

purchased from the humble indie bundle. i already went back and played through it again.  MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE OIL CAN FROM THE WHEELCHAIR ROBOT WHEN HE HANDS IT BACK TO YOU BEFORE YOU OPEN THE SEWER!!!!!

So the elderly robot doesn't offer the oil can to you again even when you're standing in the one spot that's more or less directly in front of him? Odd. He did for me after trying to reproduce the bug.
He'll offer it to me every single time if I'm standing in that particular spot...and only if I'm standing in that spot; if I move, he puts it away.
