According to a lot of unofficial news from several websites, Machinarium is coming on Wiiware, adapted on the console by XGenStudios. Good news, but I'm waiting for an official announcement from Amanita. Wink

There's even an artwork: Smiley

(but, where's Josef's girlfriend?)

Edit: There's a press release from XGenStudios here : http://www.xgenstudios.com/images/newspost/Amanita%20Design%20and%20XGen%20Studios%20bring%20Machinarium%20to%20WiiWare.pdf

The true is, that the WiiWare version is really almost finished, but there are still some things we must solve. The main problem is that WiiWare allows only 40MB per game. So we are doing heavy optimizations to reduce the game size but still have the graphics good enough. Unfortunately we had to reduce the music drastically as that's one of the biggest byte-eaters in the original PC version.

Wooooooo!

About the music, will it be heavily compressed or will the amount of tracks be cut down?
And is there anything like a release date? Never mind how vague it is, you'll still be ahead of Nicalis  Angry

The music is much more shorter and compressed. There is no other chance how to make it to be under 40MB for complete game.. blame Nintendo's policy.

We would like to finish the WiiWare version before end of this year.

Btw... we are also working on PS3 version but that will be ready later.. but without size limitations so in full graphic quality with maybe even better sound than the game has now.
