I use ubuntu 10.10.
I download Machinarium and played its and saved slots and exit.
When I start the game again the saved games disapear. I searched in ~/.macromedia/Flash_Player/#SharedObjects folder and not find machinarium folder.
I checked and everytime that I exit from game the saved game is deleted.

The game is on my desktop and I start its when click on machinarium fole.

Help me to find my slots.

Hi,

Just after having played, try to search for Machinarium.sol file on the whole file-system with gnome-search-tool (Places → Search for files).

Do you use a Flash Player cookies manager, maybe as a Firefox extension, that would automatically delete all hidden Flash data (including Machinarium saved games) when you quit your browser - or something equivalent?

Hi

I search Machinarium.sol in my computer (locate Machinarium.sol) and I not find.
I not have software or extension that delete flash cookies.

What are your settings on this page: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html ?

This happened to me as well, and I also have 100kb as my "amount to save" setting for Flash.

I'm pretty sure Ubuntu is wiping these files. If you watch a flash video online, it will be saved in /tmp and deleted upon close of Firefox.

Anyway, what does the Machinarium team think of the following:

1) Can you tell us how to skip puzzles? Is it possible to do?
2) Do you have a list of saved games somewhere, so we can start from where we lost it?

Thanks guys, awesome game.

Funny you should ask.  We're currently working on a "stash" of machinarium.sol files which players will be able draw from to either recover their progress due to lost saves or directly skip levels that are just too hard for them.

When we're done you've find the stash in the "Shared Machinarium.sol Files" board.

Meanwhile... patience...  Grin
