Finally took some time to create a Machinarium demo screensaver.

It's basically the animated main menu with those three little robots flying around. I removed the game selection menu but the "machinarium demo" text is still visible. Robot sounds have been muted so the music can be heard without interference.

The screensaver automatically supports any resolution but more options can be accessed from the options menu like resizing the animation or disabling the background music. Total duration is 2 minutes and 5 seconds, the screensaver will fade out for a second before looping. Sorry.

File size is 17.5MB. The installation process will place the file in C:\Windows where all other screensavers are stored. Uninstallation is possible from the Add/Remove Programs menu as usual. If you want to install it manually, there is a second link that points directly to the .scr file.

Hello,
The screensaver needs quite a lot of resources to be able to run (of course this shouldn't matter, as it only switches on when you're not using your PC anyway) because it's actually a full-size video. So one of the reasons might be your system specs. On slower machines, the screensaver will run choppy.
Can you tell me what graphics card, processor and desktop resolution you're using?

Sorry for the post revival, but this is absolutely amazing.
The only downside that I can think of is that a screensaver is used to protect your monitor from burned-in images. And since the background is very static, it's not that effective..

Well, pixel burn is no more an issue actually... at least not when it comes to modern PC monitors, which usually go on standby after a certain amount of time.
Anyway, thankyou mate, I missed this one! Smiley
