I had been looking at the new XBLA game, Axel & Pixel, and immediately recognized the Amanita Design art style and many similarities to previous Samorost games. I was wondering what was this games relation to Amanita Design since I didn't initially see the name anywhere, only that it was developed by Silver Wish Games.

If I am right, Silver Wish Games - it's an old team of Illusion Softworks (now 2K Czech), developers of [maybe the best known czech game] Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven.
It's interesting why they are making a game, that so dissimilar to previous games...
And, of course, I'll play it, if there will be a PC version.

It's only a shallow copy. You can tell it's not from Amanita just from the fact it contains generic minigames like riding in a monster truck.

That's kind of what I figured but didn't want to accept that someone would so blatantly rip it off. Check out the dog on their site compared to the Samorost dog.
