Nope, you don't have to pay again.  Like it says at the Amanita Design store:  Machinarium is "Cross-platform and DRM free."  Just port the PC installer you already downloaded to your Toshiba, then check the email you were sent when you bought the game for the MAC installer download link.

By the way, make sure that your Toshiba and "mcbook" have sufficient system resources to run the game.

System requirements (source):
OS: Windows XP, Vista, 7 / Mac OS X v10.4 / Linux
CPU: 1.8 GHz
RAM: 1 GB
HD: 380 MB

Hello,

I have a similar question. I bought Machinarium back in 2009 (as part of the Amanita Christmas pack). I still have Machinarium installed, but sadly I wasn't smart enough to back up the installer (or the other included stuff - Samorost 2, the soundtracks and wallpapers). I'll have to get a new PC though and was wondering, if there is a way to redownload the installer.

Any help is appreciated.

Search through your old emails for the Christmas Pack email sent by: Amanita Design.  ( i tested my original Machinarium pre-order email sent back in October 2009 and the links were still good to go, perhaps your Christmas Pack links will also work )

Naturally, I didn't keep the e-mail as it stated the download link was going to expire. Might be a timely incentive to get the collectors edition, I guess.

Oh, heck yeah!  The Collector's Edition really is a joy to have.  The concept art, little Walkthrough booklet, and soundtrack CD are awesome.  But Mamba's Collector's Edition does NOT contain either Samorost2 or the Samorost2 soundtrack.

Consider waiting for a cheap Collector's Edition to show up on eBAY and in the meantime show some love for Amanita Design by buying the two games again ( $15 for Machinarium + soundtrack and Samorost 2 )  You can get the Samorost 2 soundtrack at a "pay what you want" price on Floex's site.

Or, another option would be to contact the company and ask them if they'll resend the Christmas Pack to you.   ( your post has reminded me that it's time again to re-hang the fun Christmas Pack wallpaper art on my wall!   Ho-Ho-Ho <;-)

An update on the situation. I contacted Amanita support and they refreshed the links so I could redownload. That's simply awesome and I'm really grateful.

I've decided to wait on the Collector's Edition for the moment and get the new album by Floex (Tomáš Dvořák) - Zorya instead.

Many thanks to the Amanita team and Alex for help.

Thanks for posting a follow up!  Glad to offer what help i could and am delighted that your links were restored ~Alex  ( p.s. you are gonna LOVE Zorya! )
