I was given Botanicula as a gift via the Humble Bundle.

I just tried to do the bug fix update, and it's only available through the Apple App Store.  This prevents me from getting the bug fix.

Or does it?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you run into any problems playing the game?
Far as I know the game you downloaded from Humble Bundle does not require a "bug fix".

Your Humble Bundle key page has the same updated version (v1.1) as the Apple App Store; the download link on your key page was updated to v1.1 on May 1st, so if you have v1.0.0, simply re-download the game from the key page to get v1.1.

Thanks for the topic move to the correct spot.

The MacUpdate page only said:

Version 1.1:
Minor bug fixing

No information there on what a Bundle person should do.

When I checked the Humble page it said nothing about the update.  I've searched harder now and see that there's another Humble Bundle page specifically for Botanicula, but it says nothing about the bug fix. The bundle page has plenty of good stuff on it, but no place to get any updates.

Further search took me to the key page, which is going to allow me to redownload the game.

I have had a some minor problems ("minor bug fix" seemed right to me). I've had 2 instances of the game freezing completely, requiring a force quit. I've had one episode of the game stuttering instead of scrolling.

I am on a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac with 8 GB of ram. Updated from OS 10.7.3 yesterday to 10.7.4

Botanicula is a lovely game. I'm enjoying it very much.

I appreciate the guidance you've provided

m1ck,
Um...er...did you not see my post above? =o/ ;o) Maybe I hadn't explained things well enough. =o) Humble Bundle initially had version 1.0 of Botanicula for Mac, but a new version (1.1) was posted on May 1st. But yeah, nowhere on the key page does it say that the new version is 1.1. 'Tis confusing, I'll admit.

Sure, I saw it ( what are those strange characters in your parentheses?). I was .. perhaps silly of me...  trying to tell you why I bothered you good people.

I appreciate your help.

There was certainly no notification of any update from the bundle site.

Thanks again.

Okay. Smiley

No, there wasn't...and there should have been, I agree.

The strange characters in the parentheses? What, the emoticons? Smiley face and a confused face with noses. (I don't care for the smileys we have on the forum.) Smiley

Now that you point it out, I can see it. the / fooled my eye.

Am with you on the emoticons. I tend to not use them at all.

Again, my thanks.

ps... I finished my first run-though of the game. I've missed 2 "cards" along the way, so have a further challenge to meet.

Cool beans.
