Macbook pro- trying to operate the bicycle in the arcade. [SOLVED]

I have been trying to operate the bicycle in the arcade.  I jump onto the bicycle, then I just sit there with the circular cursor.  I tried clicking once, clicking several times, getting off and on the bike again, restarting the game.  I am not sure how to get my character to ride the bike or if it is glitch in my game.

If i remember correctly the Macbook has a touch pad to move the pointer around on the screen, yes?

Get back on the bicycle to get the circular cursor and make little circles on the touch pad with your finger.
