I had this problem the first time I went through. I repeated the level from the beginning because I thought I had, perhaps, missed something but I still cannot get the tube to accept the blue pods. What am I missing?

My guess is that you're trying to drag the pods to the tube—which is logical, but that's not how it works. Try dragging them to the floating star thingy instead.
