How do I save? I keep having to restart from the beginning of Level 4. So frustrating. Im about to give up playing. A tutorial would have been nice.

Saving is automatic. Not sure why you're losing your progress. Part 4 is really short. Have you gone through all the creatures? Can you describe what's happening? At what point are you losing your progress?

Im embarassed.  Turns out I needed to update my OS.  Sorry.  I have new problem but its a separate topic so will post it uner a new thread.  Thank you!
