Hi,

I couldn't find any technical requirements on the official site (but maybe I haven't searched well), and it seems the game doesn't run on Windows XP, or at least not on our Winodws XP laptop.

I bouhgt the game on its launch day, and downloaded it both for MacOs and Windows. It ran well and without any problems on MacOs (not recent MacBook, MacOs X.6.Cool - in fact I've already finished it :-)

But on my wife's laptop PC - a 2007 Toshiba with Windows XP -, it doesn't run : the program launch, the Samorost-logo screen appears, then the trumpet-flute appears on the top-right corner (!), with the Samorost logo always on the screen, then... then nothing. It just stays like that, the logo screen, and the trumpet that one can move everywhere on the screen.

I thought it was a problem of unarchiving, but it's the same after re-unarchiving the game with win-rar, win-zip, or 7-Zip.
So I thought of an Adobe-Air version problem : but if the required version of Adobe Air is the most recent and doesn't run on Windows XP, then the game can't run on Windows XP - or did I miss something ?

Thanks for help or explanation - or condolences.
(well, ok, my wife can just borrow my Mac, and that's it, but, still, I do want an answer, please)

A recent post by Jakub with regard to folks seeing graphical errors while playing Samorost 3 on XP suggests that the game may not work on that OS.

Good thing you have that Mac!   Smiley

Wait a sec... one of the original posters came up with a fix:  "we fixed the problem by downloading last GPU driver - our old XP machine is not so bad!

Try that, armel h, and then please post a follow up.  ~A

well... it didn't work for us - but, well, I can't say I'm sure I've found the very most recent GPU driver ; it is on a laptop, with a ATI RADEON Xpress 200M Series, I don't know what GPU had the one who've managed to solve their graphic problem ; I've found drivers on the AMD site, and installed them, but the problem is still the same.

we'll play on the mac.
