Slightly altered, might as well fit in as many as possible.
Developers, please make Samonautium - a mixture of samorost, machinarium and questionauts Grin
I guess there left many non-used backgrounds and ideas from those games

It would be great if "Samorost 3" (or at least its Collector's Edition) will contain offline versions of "Samorost 1" and "Samorost 2" (demo). It would get more interest to the whole series and gets players to buy the "Samorost 2".

The folks at GamesPressure.com had the brass to go ahead and create their own cover art for Samorost 3.   Roll Eyes

Or they could just put in all of 2. At $5 it's not going to add a huge amount to the final price.

From today's Amanita newsletter:

Quote
we already started working on our second full-length game Samorost3.

Can't express the joy I felt when reading this line! Samorost 1 and 2 are still two my favorite games, no other title was able to match that unique atmosphere (Machinarium came pretty close though, haha). I still have fond memories playing them over and over again  *looks at his genuine Samorost 2 CD*

I wish you all the best in developing Samorost 3!

From today's Amanita newsletter...

Wasn't sure what Ilsyde was talking about until i looked in my SPAM folder.  Sure enough, from <info at amanita-design.net>  (have a look for yourselves if you haven't see this yet and be sure to mark that email address as non-spam)

we would like to inform you about a couple of news from our studio.

If you enjoyed the music in our games Samorost2, Questionaut or Machinarium, you should definitely check out the new record from our music composer Tomas 'Floex' Dvorak. The album is called Zorya and it's brilliant.
Listen to whole album for free at: www.floex.cz/
CD / LP / digital DL available via: www.amanita-design.net/about/projects/floex-zorya.html

Recently we have also released Machinarium for iPad2, which you can find here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/machinarium/id459189186?mt=8
Android version of this game should be ready in a matter of weeks.

Machinarium for Playstation 3 is also in the works. It should be released this winter.

We are also hard working on two new games: Botanicula (www.botanicula.net/) which should be finished this winter and we already started working on our second full-length game Samorost3.

If you are interested, please check out our blog (www.amanita-design.net/blog/) from time to time for more news.

Thanks for your support!

Sincerely,

Jakub Dvorsky

As far as I know, the newsletters are sent to all the registered forum members by JD himself.  ( sender is "Amanita Design" <info@amanita-design.net> )

The last one (pasted below) was sent in October 2011.  My guess is that your copy ended up in your SPAM folder ( that's where I found mine! )  I would suggest that you set up a filter to capture future emails sent from "Amanita Design" and perhaps also sign up for the Amanita Design blog's RSS feed ( here ) to get notified whenever the blog is updated.

Hope that helps.

There was a very vague forecast at some point, but I can't remember the source. I think they were aiming for next year sometime (maybe the year after).
