Game crashes with latest update

Hello!

I'm well into a second playthrough of Machinarium. Yesterday I got an update (something to do with Nougat) and since then my game crashes quite often. It never happens in the middle of whatever area I'm in, but almost always when I move to a different area. I'm having to save constantly so as not to lose progress. I haven't tried re-installing as I wasn't sure if I'd lose all of my progress up until now. Any help would be much appreciated.

Using an HTC10 running Android 6.0.1

Hmm.  I see that this "Nougat" update just happened yesterday.

Please write to Amanita Design support via their contact page and let them know that their 11/30/2016 update is causing crashes on your HTC 10 running Android 6.0.1.

Edit:  I did a little research online and now think that Wiping your Cache Partition might possibly solve your problem.
Here's a "how to" youtube clearly showing the process.
While this will probably erase any saved games you have it may allow you to play the game without crashes.

Please post a follow up once you find a solution so that others may benefit from your experience.
