Hi everybody.
Does enyone know, why the game price listed on Machinarium.net is 20 USD, but when I try to pay with PayPal, they say that the game costs 24,40 USD?  Huh

20$ is just probably the price exclusive of tax, which are different depending on the country.  Wink

Heh. But the price 24.40 USD isn't listed anywhere, I know it just cause I contacted PayPal:/. And before paying I was being redirected to site in Polish (my country), price listed there was in Polish currency (52 PLN, which is equivalent of 20 USD). No signs that I must pay about 5 USD more. It's a bit mean, I think Angry.

You can blame that extra fee on PayPal.

I GOOGLEd and found a PayPal fees for dummies page that states, "PayPal charges the buyer [that's you, Mihao] a 2.5% currency conversion fee if he's paying you [Fastspring.com] in a different currency than you asked for."

So, yes, it's mean.  But it's not Amanita Design's fault.

Ok, thanks for the explanation. Paypal just informed me that "you tried to pay 24.40 USD from your account, having only 22 USD on it", so I thought that it's not Paypal's fee, but some trick with the game price, done by Amanita. If it's Paypal hidden cost - SHAME ON YOU, PAYPAL! Angry
Ps. I'm buying the game anyway Wink

Ah, I've found the news about Paypal: they changed their regulations in August this year, without notifying their clients. Also they raised transfer costs: 2,9% for transferring the money + about 0,5 USD (for what?).
