Private data when ordering Machinarium

Hi,

I'm Czech, but I think this could be also helpful for English speaking people.

The thing is simple: I'd like to order Machinarium, but I don't want to give away my personal data like address and phone number - actually I don't know why it is needed anyway, considering it is not a CD game, but downloadable one. I'm paying through Paypal. When I fill in fictitious address amd phone number, the transaction proceeds with error.

Is there any other way, how to order / pay for the game, without giving my personal data to any third party?

Yeah, since it's a totally digital transaction info such as your mailing address isn't necessary.  But when you registered your PayPal account you had to provide an address and phone number then, so it makes sense that if you enter fictitious info when ordering Machinarium PayPal assumes that someone else is attempting to use your account without your knowledge.

If it's total anonymity you want then consider establishing a mail drop for yourself like this or this.
