"If you have Samsung Galaxy Nexus, S3, HTC One or other Android smartphone with resolution 1280×720 or bigger, you can finally enjoy the game at full screen. It’s still a bit small but definitely playable if you have sharp eyes and fingers. Get the game on Google play."source: Amanita Design's blog

Hello,
the nexus 7 has the screen definition for the game (7", 1280x800) but Machinarium Android is marked as incompatible with that tablet, is there anything i could do to install it on my tablet ?
Thanks in advance

Can't tell you why "Machinarium Android is marked as incompatible with that tablet"... We heard from another Nexus 7 user that WAS able to load and play the game. See here: http://forum.amanita-design.net/index.php?topic=3981.msg11879#msg11879Note: " requires Android 2.2 and up" maybe that's your problem?

I hope [Nexus 7 incompatibility] will be fixed soon.
Fixed! November 9, 2012 post on the Amanita Design Facebook page: "hey Nexus 7 owners, get the latest Humble Bundle if you want to play Machinarium on your tablet. the game is still not available on Google Play for you but works fine when you install it from the bundle."

I'm also unable to purchase for my Nexus 7 tablet and the Humble Bundle thing is over: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/7875588/Clipboard012.pngSimply grayed out as an option. Would love to buy it for my Kids though. Thanks, Mark

Like it says, "still not available on Google Play" Too bad you missed the Humble Android Bundle. Be sure to sign up for updates so you don't miss your next opportunity.

You're overestimating my paygrade, MeneM! I just moderate the forum. Humble Bundle sign up was my personal suggestion. Re-read the Amanita Design Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/Amanita.Design/posts/123077831181067 Nowhere does it say that Nexus 7 owners will NEVER be able to obtain the game from Google Play.

You could try the About tab up top. In there is a way to directly submit a question to Amanita Design Support. They've been pretty busy since the Humble Android Bundle took off so don't expect a speedy answer. ;~)

Well that's good, it means that they made so much money with people "paying what they want" and using DRM free stuff, they no longer need the play store ;-)

According to some comments posted on Amanita Design's blog ( here) it appears that if the Google Play site states that your phone will NOT support the Tablet version then you will want to download the mobile version. Not doing so appears to cause slow performance for some players.
