Bridge Bug?

I'm at the bridge right by the town circle.
I finished the jigsaw piece puzzle, which made the wire all electrified. Made the worker bot go to the second set of wires, but when I grab the cat's tail the cat jumps down onto
the bridge and nothing happens. Is this a bug or something I possibly missed? I've watched gameplay videos and read a walkthrough but nothing points to the second option.
Help please, I did download the new patch they released and still nothing happens.
P.S. sorry if this isn't the right place to post this kind of stuff.

you probably didn't tie the wire to the banister.
