"A combination of Samorost-style puzzling and casual item collection, this wordless Russian adventure tells the tale of a planet broken literally into pieces after being hit by an asteroid." http://www.adventuregamers.com/newsitem.php?id=2242 (http://www.adventuregamers.com/newsitem.php?id=2242) Mod comment: i replaced expired JPG link. Title: Re: The Tiny Bang Story Post by: marta on May 18, 2011, 11:48:35 am I just discovered a game that looks quite like Machinarium or Samorost, but does not seem to be related to Amanita: http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/12507/mac/the-tiny-bang-story/index.html
Is this OK? yes! :) Moderator comment: Just merged the two topics...no biggie. =o) ~Lamkin Title: Re: The Tiny Bang Story Post by: gal.eon on May 19, 2011, 07:33:40 am It's a wonderfull game with sweet graphics and cool puzzles!
Title: Re: The Tiny Bang Story Post by: Horseman on May 20, 2011, 12:06:16 am Yes, I agree. It's a very nice game developed by Colibri Games.
The game can be downloaded through steam and playism (Japan), but it wasn't released physically yet. And I only buy games in physical format. :) By the way, look at these pictures. Very similar locations I think: (http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/6615/98303321.th.jpg) (http://img219.imageshack.us/i/98303321.jpg/) (http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/9363/57650533.th.jpg) (http://img263.imageshack.us/i/57650533.jpg/) Title: Re: The Tiny Bang Story Post by: Mariya on May 21, 2011, 05:49:34 am I love how the graphics of these games..."COINCIDES" ;)

Anyhow, interesting that not only me found these screens. ;) Maybe Colibri Games developers is a fans by "Machinarium". :) Title: Re: The Tiny Bang Story Post by: Alex on May 21, 2011, 09:43:00 am Quote from: Horseman Maybe Colibri Games developed is a fans by "Machinarium". :) (http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/ae23/ABoretz/Machinarium/hint.jpg) (http://www.colibrigames.com/) "Imitation is the sincerest [form] of flattery (http://www.quotationspage.com/quotes/Charles_Caleb_Colton/)" ;) Title: Re: The Tiny Bang Story Post by: Horseman on May 21, 2011, 10:22:04 am Alex, very funny! ;D

The frustrating pipes puzzle is definitely inspired by Amanita. :D
Everyone, do yourself a favor and get the free soundtrack (http://bit.ly/qtf3v1). It's some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard in a video game (along with Machinarium etc of course.) By the way, does anyone know what's going on with Colibri Games (http://www.colibrigames.com), the makers of Tiny Bang Story? They're from Russia so it's hard to contact them, but does anyone know if they're still making games? I can't wait for a sequel! |
