Title: Steam distribution Post by: Optimaximal on October 07, 2009, 10:22:53 pm I know its largely irrelevant given the games relatively small size, DRM-free nature etc, but would you consider offering (if possible) steam keys for people who purchase it directly from you? I, for one, tend to bounce between my desktop and laptop and having Steam as a central repository for downloading and redownloading is always incredibly helpful.
It's trivial, but also a nice gesture to have the game properly integrated into Steam - a lot of indies (such as Defence Grid) have been selling Steam-compatible releases thru third parties... (just enter key etc.) Of course, i'm giving my money directly too you because of the quality of all your output - Gabe & co don't need their cut. :) Title: Re: Steam distribution Post by: gio9sig551 on October 11, 2009, 11:16:03 pm I have to quote your post!!

Steam say that the code is wrong.. What i have to do? Which code I have to use?? There's most likely a whole lot of legal matter that needs to be sorted out before giving out STEAM codes. It will take some time I'm afraid. EDIT: Just a reminder that this is only my humble own opinion about the matter, I'm in no way affiliated with the devs! Just to make sure this isn't misinterpreted. Title: Re: Steam distribution Post by: gio9sig551 on October 17, 2009, 04:32:59 pm We have to wait some time before the devs give us the code to register the game on steam?
Ok.. I'll wait for it! Title: Re: Steam distribution Post by: bloodyhenry on October 18, 2009, 12:14:50 pm Any news concerning that ? The preorder key still doesn't work on steam :/
Title: Re: Steam distribution Post by: meex on October 18, 2009, 11:04:14 pm I have a question related to the topic; how much of the 16,99
Note from Moderator: Looks like meex ran into the forum's "special character bug (http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/topic,292.msg1223.html#msg1223)". :( You can read his full question and participate in the discussion here (http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/topic,456.msg2192.html#msg2192). Title: Re: Steam distribution Post by: countmonkey on October 19, 2009, 12:43:31 am is this still going to be possible? my pre-order id is a lot shorter than the example key on steam's product activation wizard
