Title: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: ABoretz on October 14, 2009, 07:50:44 am Version 2 of the PC (http://www.bigdownload.com/games/machinarium/pc/machinarium-demo/) and MAC (http://www.bigdownload.com/games/machinarium/pc/machinarium-demo-mac/) demos are available for download. No word yet about a Linux demo.
Please consider taking the time to test your native OS' version to compare v2 to the first Demo that was released and take note of any glitches you may find, or just mention how you feel about the changes. (I noticed a few in the first puzzle) Try to be concise and not just reply with "me too"s if possible. ::) I should think - after all we've been through together ;-) - JD would probably appreciate all your input, either pro or con. Thanks everyone! Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: iakchos on October 14, 2009, 11:19:51 am yea and... for what time??? ;)
serious, i want to play it as soon as possible Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: popsUlfr on October 14, 2009, 11:30:21 am That's very kind to share a new preview version with us! You're great Amanita!
Please consider taking the time to test your native OS' version to compare v2 to the first Demo that was released and take note of any glitches you may find, or just mention how you feel about the changes. (I noticed a few in the first puzzle) It looks like the bug mccartercar found (http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php/topic,280.0.html) has been fixed. I wasn't able to reproduce it. Maybe I'm too spoiled now that I've played the 1st demo so many times but I didn't see many changes or I'm just too blind :( Care to elaborate ABoretz? Hope fridays release includes resolution options - the hi res desktops from pre-order in 16:10 are awesomely detailed.

Basically it's the size as in windowed mode only with added blackness around it to fill the screen. Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: Ulyasha Karp on October 14, 2009, 01:12:37 pm what is pro or con ?? Likely pro its pro version (its like as in soft programs) :D :D, Machinariun demo version(free), trial version(2$), test version(3$), temporary version(5$), preliminary version(9$), beta version(14$), final version(15$), pro version(17$), master collection(20$) :D :D... ...and con - its continental (continental version 100$)... Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: Igor on October 14, 2009, 01:45:39 pm First, fantastic demo and I'm looking forward to full game.
Also a question: I run Windows XP in 1280x768. Problem is, I can't run demo in full resolution, only at 80% (black borders all around main window). If I click on 100% it just switches back to 80%. However, if I change resolution to 1280x800, full screen (100%) works. Is there any way around this to make it work full screen in 1280x768? Thank you in advance! Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: Ulyasha Karp on October 14, 2009, 02:35:44 pm 1.dislike what in 1 demo location, before arrivals fly dustman, the rusty bath moves arbitrarily...
2.dislike in last demo location how to move the round levers... (http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx247/karpuk/image179.png) they need to push for rotate(its uncomfortably and wrong) if they would be pulling - its be cool.. and did not like what at the forum included personal message function only today... :( Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: jd on October 14, 2009, 03:57:04 pm First, fantastic demo and I'm looking forward to full game. Thank you in advance! no, the resolution of the game is 1250x790 so if your screen resolution is smaller then it's automatically scaled down to 80%. Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: alenofx on October 14, 2009, 04:11:46 pm cool :D
what about deselect items with double click without returning them to the inventory? Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: ABoretz on October 14, 2009, 04:37:51 pm what is pro or con ?? за и против. ...and did not like what at the forum included personal message function only today... :( You're welcome. :P :D Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: Ulyasha Karp on October 14, 2009, 04:48:51 pm АГАаа! Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: TANTRICTRICK on October 14, 2009, 05:15:52 pm yeah but no but will the full game be available in higher resolutions than the demo?? :)

It seemed to me the first puzzle in version 2 had more descriptive text and pointing arrows than version 1. But I probably haven't played version 1 as often as you have, eh? ;) :DHey JD, there is one thing I did notice - though it might be too late in development to change this and it's only a small matter - but, FWIW, when one selects "SAVE" and all six slots have been taken, and you must choose which saved game to overwrite, the default goes to "YES" instead of "CANCEL". If that could be reversed it would provide a nifty "safety" against mistaken overwrites. Same with the "LOAD" window; it defaults to "YES". Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: ABoretz on October 14, 2009, 05:51:25 pm АГАаа! Бугагагагага))) It's no big deal, Ulyasha. .ru can only mean one place. And Babel Fish (http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_txt) does the rest. (though it hasn't been 100% helpful with your текст :-\) Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: Ulyasha Karp on October 14, 2009, 06:25:48 pm okay.. so, what about learning Russian or Belarusian? :-\ :-\
Title: Re: Machinarium Demo v2 Post by: iakchos on October 14, 2009, 07:22:59 pm i didnt catch any differences between the 2 versions
