Hi guys,

First I'd like to thank you for your great work!
Actually I would call it ART!  :)
And it is very inspiring...
I was amazed and inspired at the same time, when I first saw your works,
so I thought, that I must be not the only one, and maybe people would get
creative and would share some thoughts/drawings/poetry/music, so I decided
to start a new thread, where people would share their ideas and works.  ;D

Here's something drawn by me... Well I'm not that good at drawing
but it's a little something someone may actually like.  :)

and now he cannot watch a very important match of footbot, so he is reeeeeally angry!  ;D

r0gu3, you rock!  Old Rusty Jack looks exactly like I do some mornings...  ;D   But what's truly cool about your post is that you're absolutely right about not being the only person who's been positively inspired by Amanita's works.  Actually, I don't think there's a single person here on the forum that isn't as jazzed and inspired as you are because of being exposed to the Amanita Design team's work.

I also like what you said about Amanita's work being "Art".  I agree!  And I also think that our 'thoughts, drawings, poetry, or music' could be perfect compliments to the Amanita experience.  After all, this has - all of it - all along - been about making Art, so let's keep the energy moving!  It doesn't have to be graphic art or software art... it could be - like you said - music, it could be poetry, it could even be dance (hello YouTube! ;))  Let your imaginations roam free and see what inspirations compel you.   It will all be welcome here in this thread.

Anyone with questions about how to digitize and present their works can always post to General Chat - and that way we can ALL learn something new!

Hey, about my Jack...
I don't know how much of an "Art" he is but he's sure much of a "Fan"!  ;) ;D
And, well, I'd sure like to know how to digitize him, but I'm not very good at Photoshop, and I don't even have a scanner,

It took tons of time to do.  I used camstudio to record video from the game, then used imageready (photoshop CS) to grab the video and turn it into sequential .jpg files.  Since I was wanting to put my clan gamer tag behind the robot, I edited each frame in photoshop into layers, re-did the wall in the background, and then re-animated them into a loop.

I was given Machinarium for Christmas last December.  I am purist at heart and always a critic, and it was clear within minutes of playing it that Machinarium was one of the best games I have ever played.

Do you mean they should be more round in the middle? The original character has more or less the same eyes, you see.

No, I mean kind of independent eyes :)
His eyes just dont always seem to point in the same direction.

First of all congratulations on a first class game with Machinarium.  I won't go into how many work hours were wasted in trying to figure it out, but have loved every minute of it.  I especially enjoyed the artwork associated with not only this project , but also with your Samorost and other educational flash games.  Keep up the good work.  I look forward to purchasing more of your games when they are released.  Matt W (Australia)

The snowbot is awesome, i whish I had enough snow in my backyard (well, if I had a backyard :) )

The snowbot is really cool. Sadly there's no snow in my country at all so I'll have to wait, maybe till next winter.

All the great stuff I've seen here has inspired me to do some fan art, too. I'm working on plasticine models of the street band - the drummer is already finished. Probably some additional painting is still pending, up to now I have done no painting at all but just mixed different kinds of plasticine (FIMO, for those who know it  ;))

Hi guys! I finally signed up to this forum to post the Machinarium project I'd been working on for months. I've been wanting to make my own 3D Josef ever since I saw the great works posted in here. I made my Josef model in 3ds Max and textured it in Zbrush, before rigging him and giving him some groovy poses. I made the glasshouse all in 3ds Max, textured in Photoshop and set up the lighting and materials in Unity. I even put out a Unity build with a first-person controller, so I could walk around the glasshouse and take my screenshots. It's kind of a strange feeling to be able to actually walk inside that room...Not to mention looking at Josef's shiny metal butt.

The lighting came out a bit sunnier than in the game and I ditched the mess of cables (and, ironically, the butterfly) for simplicity's sake, but I might end up adding them later on if I feel like it.
