Title: "Pay what you want for Botanicula and save the rainforest" Post by: Alex on April 19, 2012, 07:30:16 pm http://www.botanicula.net (http://www.botanicula.net) now has an active BUY button... which takes you to: http://www.humblebundle.com/ (http://www.humblebundle.com/) and, as a bonus: "Soundtracks are included with Botanicula, Machinarium, and Samorost 2!" Title: Re: "Pay what you want for Botanicula and save the rainforest" Post by: Stephen1212 on April 19, 2012, 07:37:03 pm So what you are saying is I am a fool for preordering off GoG.com and I should have waited to get it for half price, with the soundtrack plus the soundtrack to Machinarium and Samorost 2 aswell as my 2nd or 3rd key for each of those.
Its a kind kick in the teeth for anyone who preordered or bought at full price, its not the price, its that you get more for paying less! Title: Re: "Pay what you want for Botanicula and save the rainforest" Post by: popsUlfr on April 19, 2012, 07:39:49 pm Oh my goodness! This is amazing, I've no words... you're the best Jakub ;) And all those extras thrown in!
Does the Kooky movie have subtitles? Other languages besides english? Title: Re: "Pay what you want for Botanicula and save the rainforest" Post by: Lamkin on April 19, 2012, 07:50:21 pm Holy cow, that is awesome! Wow. =D =D =o)
Edit: Just bought it for $25.00 to show my support. =o) Hoping the bundle does exceedingly well. I see where you're coming from but if you chose to pre-order the game you had the intention to help/support the indie developer behind it, and you did just that. Now you may pay what you want for this nice bundle and support a good cause in the process. I think this is a Win Win situation, since you could basically get it cheap and consider it further bonus content and help charity of course. But this feels like a quite disrespectful move towards your customers.
Anyway, I'm going to get a refund on GOG, get the full Humble Bundle and give a lot of that money to charity, I guess. Please act with a little more consideration when coming up with deals like this, as it does not put you in a particularly good light. Title: Re: "Pay what you want for Botanicula and save the rainforest" Post by: John Herbert on April 19, 2012, 10:58:10 pm btw, what is Steam Key? Doesn't look like it is necessary to play Botanicula.
BTW part two, I paid 20 for Machinarium a while back, I think it's 10 now.... but that's the Digital Life! The Steam key is for registering the games on the Steam Platform (http://store.steampowered.com/) if you want them on your Steam account. Instead of a Web interface like Humble Bundle or Gog.com you get a client where you can then proceed to download your games on. First I thought it has got something to do with the ending .app But then I tried machinarium and this works. So does anybody has an idea what the problem is and how it can be solved? I'd really like to play this game!!

I'd really like to play this game!! It may have something to do with Adobe AIR (http://get.adobe.com/air/) not being installed. Click on the link and try to install it then retry to run the game. So maybe now I have to buy an expensive new iLive version or something like this. But thanks for your help. Sorry to hear that. What about the archived AIR versions here (http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html)? Select the Runtime version for Mac. I don't have a Mac so I'm not going to be of much more help I'm afraid. Title: Re: "Pay what you want for Botanicula and save the rainforest" Post by: Lamkin on April 20, 2012, 01:41:13 am I don't believe it's that Adobe AIR isn't getting installed....I checked inside the Botanicula.app file and I see Adobe AIR. So I'm wondering what her system specs are. I see on the Humble Bundle page that Botanicula requires Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6), while Machinarium requires only Leopard (OS X 10.5)...well, Tiger (10.4) would also run Machinarium...so she might need to upgrade to Snow Leopard in order to run Botanicula. What version of OS X are you running, Anmaste? And do you have an Intel Mac?
Title: Broke my heart ;-( Post by: phili on April 21, 2012, 02:41:56 pm Dear Amanita team,
being a big fan since Samorost I immediate invested 20EUR via HumbleBundle for BOTANICULA and the beautiful extras. But then my heart broke: MacOSC 10.6 only? Don't you have a heart for persons who use their machines for more than a year? My dear Mac is running stable for years with 10.4.11 and now this stops me from playing BOTANICULA. I don't regret having invested the money into your work, but I deeply regret not being able to play it without investing in a higher MacOSX version. Have a heart for us oldies and make it downward compatible Title: Re: "Pay what you want for Botanicula and save the rainforest" Post by: Lamkin on April 26, 2012, 08:10:55 pm Bonus pack now added to the bundle: a Botanicula art book and map collection, a Kooky bonus pack featuring behind-the-scenes photographs and concept art for the film, the independent album Zorya from Machinarium soundtrack artist Tomáš Dvořák (a.k.a., Floex), and the independent album HU from Botanicula soundtrack artist DVA. And finally, Amanita Design's experimental interactive music project Osada has been added to the main download list.
