Title: Savegames: PC --> Android (How?) Post by: bgmnt on May 28, 2012, 09:48:59 pm Hello,
i need to put my saveagame files from PC to Android and want to know, how i can do this. My Galaxy Nexus is rooted and i found a Machinarium Folder with a .sol File, but replacing it doesn't work. I really don't want to play all the levels again, so i would appreciate your help very much :) Thx and greets, Karsten Title: Re: Savegames: PC --> Android (How?) What .sol file are you replacing yours with (do you mean one from our archive? ) And what does "it doesn't work" mean exactly? No "Resume"? No "Saved slots"? What?? Edit: Try this (http://amanita-design.net/forum/index.php/topic,3821.msg11408.html#msg11408). I think that if you don't see "Resume Game" on the main screen after you've updated the .sol, "go to .LOAD where you'll find the new saved games in there" Maybe it's the same for Androids? Give it a try and then please update us. ~A Title: Re: Savegames: PC --> Android (How?) Post by: bgmnt on May 29, 2012, 11:37:18 pm okay, in the internal memory i find this: in /data/user/0/air.net.machinarium.Machinarium/net.machinarium.Machinarium/Local Store/#SharedObjects is the file "Machinarioid.sol
i took my backup from pc and put the .sol in the folder above, in another try i renamed it to Machinaorioid.sol - nothing worked. yes, these are pretty dumb methods, but i miss a guide to restore my savegame! i must review your hint with just loading the game, but i can say this so far: i dealt only with the whole macromedia folder from pc to pc. where are the savegames located normally - in a .bin (slot?) or in a .sol file? thx so far for your quick reply! Machinarium uses .sol files. Botanicula uses .bin files. BTW, have you tried going the OTHER way? ( move the Android .sol to your PC and see if it's usable ) Title: Re: Savegames: PC --> Android (How?) Post by: bgmnt on May 31, 2012, 11:00:19 pm Machinarium uses .sol files. And must collect some more energy for further investigations. Or, perhaps you can answer one more question: Is there an official plan for importing savegames to android devices or is there no standard solution (it seems so). Thx for your advise! You (and anyone else following this topic) are the vanguard in this endeavor. Keep at it and let us know how it's going. Title: Re: Savegames: PC --> Android (How?) at this week i got a lack of power and time, but i will continue the research. thx for your feedback so far. Title: Re: Savegames: PC --> Android (How?) Post by: torsten on October 17, 2013, 04:16:50 pm In case anyone is still interested in this:
I copied my Machinarium.sol from my PC to my Nexus 7, renamed it Machinarioid.sol, put it in the correct folder* and overwrote the original file there. I know it was the right folder because afterwards the savegames I had made on my Android device were gone. This however, didn't work: the game only says "start new game" instead of showing my game files. I also tried to combine the original Machinarioid.sol-file with my PC-savegame by copying (what I though) would be the relevant lines with a text editor into the Android-savegame, which also didn't work. So if anyone knows how to edit the .sol files for real or how to get PC saves to Android, I would appreciate if the would let me know. Thanks! *that folder is, as mentioned above: " /data/user/0/air.net.machinarium.Machinarium/net.machinarium.Machinarium/Local Store/#SharedObjects" |
