Title: Just beautiful Post by: Mariya on March 06, 2016, 11:24:39 am Every time you surf the internet for Amanita Design works you may jump into some beautiful and interesting project.
This time, it was not even a game or picture. PAAR is glasses made by Czech couples of artists, have a look: (http://www.paar.cz/files/upload/2012/10/02/thumbs/Ciharova-Dvorsky_light_jpg_2400x800_q85.jpg) Love these creatures. February 14 is over, but the glasses can be found on paar.cz if anyone needs it Title: Re: Just beautiful Post by: Alex on March 07, 2016, 09:26:55 pm Beautiful indeed! But it appears that all the L&J sets have all been taken as paar.cz won't let me Koupit a pair. :( Meanwhile this (http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/mar/07/amanita-design-czech-studio-games-samorost-machinarium) Guardian article gives us a clue about the true identity of the creatures on the glasses... "Hanging from the curved ceiling of the old town hall in Brno in the Czech Republic, is the preserved body of a dragon. The beast was said to have terrorised the inhabitants of the city centuries ago, until it was poisoned by a brave butcher. This area of the country is synonymous with myths and monsters. Ivan Mládek’s popular song Jožin z bažin tells of a swamp creature from Moravia – the lush region of which Brno is the largest city – travelling to nearby Prague to eat its tourists. But that was just a song, and the monster hanging by chains in the town hall is actually a crocodile – probably a gift from a visiting king in the 17th century. The myths and legends, however, live on." Title: Re: Just beautiful Post by: SleepyUser on March 07, 2016, 09:43:04 pm Beautiful indeed! The kind of thing you're gonna meet a lot if your irl name is Joseph/Joe, like in my case. :) Title: Re: Just beautiful Post by: Mariya on March 09, 2016, 05:33:01 am Quote Born in the region and a nature lover, he now brings his two small children out to pick mushrooms and wild fruits, to spot animals or to stargaze long into the night.
