Title: Why are there no female-ish characters in Samorost 3? Post by: yllevarg on March 15, 2017, 03:16:51 pm Fantastic game, really enjoyed playing it! I am at the moment doing a game-analysis as a school-exam of Samorost 3, and a very popular discourse is of course the gender-issues when analysing games. I am simply wondering why all the main characters are male or what would be closest attributed to male? I see some arguing that the space-gnome and hero of the game is genderless, but I am not sure I fully agree on this. Off the top of my head, the only female character I can remember is one of the monkeys having a bath. Why is this? Is it perhaps a subtle gameplay rhetoric I am simply not picking up on? Curious to know!

so passionate about the developement of the game that they didn't notice such a detail. ::) |
