Title: "Amanita Design now has some of their titles up on game store itch, on sale too" Post by: Alex on December 04, 2017, 08:47:46 pm From the "GamingOnLinux" site comes this post (https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/amanita-design-now-has-some-of-their-titles-up-on-game-store-itch-on-sale-too.10808) by liamdawe (https://www.gamingonlinux.com/profiles/1), 1 December 2017 at 12:44 pm UTC : Amanita Design [Official Site (http://amanita-design.net/)], developer of beautiful games like Machinarium and Botanicula is another well known name to put their games up on the itch store. They now have these titles on there which support Linux: Botanicula (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/botanicula) Botanicula Soundtrack + Art Book (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/botanicula-soundtrack-art-book) Machinarium (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/machinarium) Machinarium Soundtrack + Art Book (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/machinarium-soundtrack-art-book) Samorost 2 (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/samorost-2) You can find their itch.io store page here (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/#), with links to their games. They're all on sale too, a perfect time to grab them if they still haven't picked up a copy. As a big fan of itch.io (https://itch.io/), I'm really happy to see more well known developers put their games on it. Their store is slick and easy to use, but the icing on the cake is their speedy open source game client (https://itch.io/app). Czech developer Amanita Design is currently holding a small sale on Itch.io (https://itch.io/games/on-sale). The sale runs through 3 pm Pacific this Saturday, December 9, and includes four of Amanita's best adventure games. First up, Botanicula, a humorous tale of seedlings. We called it a different kind of adventure that quickly grows on you in our review (http://www.pcgamer.com/botanicula-review/), and it still holds up as one of Amanita's finest. It's on sale for $3 at 70 percent off (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/botanicula). Next there's Machinarium, a veritable steampunk sister to Botanicula. It's every bit as excellent, and is also $3 at 70 percent off (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/machinarium). Finally, Samorost 2 (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/samorost-2) and Samorost 3 (https://amanitadesign.itch.io/samorost-3) are just under $2 and $6 respectively. Samorost 3 is arguably Amanita's masterwork (http://www.pcgamer.com/samorost-3-review/). If you're hungry for more Amanita, have a gander at the official trailer for their next game: Chuchel, the story of an angry hairball and his cherry. More on that here (http://www.pcgamer.com/samorost-studio-unveils-the-debut-trailer-for-its-new-game-chuchel/). |
