Title: Saving the game. Post by: davenwolf on November 29, 2009, 01:02:40 am First let me say that Machinarium is awesome. I purchased a copy last friday and the whole family in madly in love with the game. We have one dilemma though! After enjoying the game for about 4 hours and numerous saves we shut the pc down and went to bed. The next morning I ran as i always do a program called CCleaner to get rid of junk files and the like. The only problem is that it wiped my saves as well :'( :'(. Can anyone tell the the path to the save file so I can exclude it from being wiped?
thanks Davenwolf ;D Title: Re: Saving the game. Post by: ABoretz on November 29, 2009, 08:45:15 am Sorry to read of your lost save games, davenwolf. The subject of CCleaner wiping Machinarium saved games has previously been addressed on this forum in great detail. Use Search (http://machinarium.net/forum/index.php?action=search) and type in "CCleaner" to see the full extent. Meanwhile, for now, just: 1. Open ccleaner. 2. Options 3. "Exclude" 4. Add Folder 5. Search the save path, eg C:\Users{USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\{RANDOMWORD}\localhost\Program Files\Machinarium\machinarium.exe check if the box is in | *.* | 6. Accept 5. Ready now can use ccleaner and do not erase your saved game.
