Could someone identify the mini-game puzlles in Machinarium? I know that the 5-in-a-row game is Gomoku and that's all. I am particularly interested in the following ones: - The video-game at the second console, in which you have to manipulate a little red U-shaped bracket and to plug it into a bigger red one. - The game in the laboratory, in which you have to fill the empty cells of a grid by choosing direction of the "line" - The puzzle in the cabinet on the far-left of the King Bot screen, in which you have to slide the connected green pieces to the indicated position, rearranging the green and the rest "strings" Do you know the names of this puzzles and if there are some online versions of them with more levels? Or may be some are invented by Amanita team? Nevertheless, great game! Nicosmos: Just melted your topics, the content was almost the same in both. It clicks..that satisfied "Yes!" Hahah, Fantastic games.. I think the hardest ones was the bomb (Had to use the hint on that one) Still QUITE dont understand the shower sewer water pipe puzzle..just eventually got it after I thought I was about to figure out why. And The old man puzzle game in the bar? Wow..Took me honestly a good hour to beat him at one game! and the elevator...The leaf coverd the answere So Im not sure how you were supposed to get it without a hint..I hinted at it :P ::) But I would love to find some more puzzle games or at least a game that really excersises your brain! This was Just a Fantastic mind blowing game..great music, scenery..just..WOW!

You just have to ask yourself, for example "what would I do if a big leaf covered my visual?" I know of many ppl getting stuck trying to click every possible spot and to combine random objects in the inventory (and eventually give up or open the walkthru), well thank God this is not the way Machinarium is intended to be played :) . Some puzzles are tricky, like the pipes one where you have to figure out each and every possible water path, but some trial & error helps. Others may be a little more difficult but usually get sorted out while you play... Or while you sleep :) You may have some hard time in solving "mini-puzzles", like videogame #2 with those C-shaped pieces. If there is a sequel I hope they will not increase in difficult/number. They are well balanced in the game context and most importantly keeps you from rushing to the end ;) . When I played this mini-puzzle in the Mashinarium, I've been sured that is the little part of old retro famous game from 70's, much older then Sokoban or Space Invaders. ) Am I wrong? Thanks to this thread, well, more precise, to iakov, I have found a name of BoxUp puzzle, while I already made replica based on levels and adapted rules from Machinarium. Now I made a new version of BoxUp, port to JavaScript (http://www.novikorisnik.net/boxup/), with all 17 public levels (5 levels from Machinarium are also among them). Andrea, author of original BoxUp, gave me today hint on puzzle from botanic laboratory - http://www.clickmazes.com/fullho/ixfullho.htm - so name is Full House, by Erich Friedman - http://www2.stetson.edu/~efriedma/full/ - and I'm interested to make port of this too, here is just a work in progress, prototype (http://www.novikorisnik.net/games/aGame.html), with 6 levels from Machinarium (final game should be greatly differ).
