Cant get item I need to progress

Hi, I'm at the bit where you have to put sunflower seeds in a machine then put an oil container thing below the machine and use it.

I looked up some walkthroughs and they say i need to have picked up the oil container from the wheelchair robot earlier. But I didnt pick it up and cant get back to it, my last other save is very far back :S.

Any ideas or will i just have to continue from the old save and do it all over again?
