Hey, I'm running Machinarium  on Windows XP, downloaded last night from the site. Last night I played for about five minutes, just to check that it worked, and it did. This morning when I went to play it, it just launches an empty flash player? And when I try to run the installer again, it says "Installer integrity check has failed".
I've got four folders, 00 01 10 and 11, they're all full of files, I'd really rather not have to download the whole thing again, as I'm on mobile broadband and the usage is very very expensive.
Thanks for any help

edit: here's a screenshot showing what happens when I try to play Machinarium, and what happens when I try to run the installer http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/9488/screenshotlo.jpg

Hi SonOfKong.

Sorry you're having trouble launching the game.  We'll do the best we can to help you but yours is the first "NSIS Error" question we've gotten so bear with us as we try to sort this problem out with you.  (BTW, "We" here are NOT the developers of the game.  "We" are just fans of Amanita Design that hang out on this forum to help people play Machinarium in peace)

First off, thanks for providing that screen shot!  I see that there's an icon in the lower right of your desktop that looks like a red shield with a white X in it and I think THAT is where your problem lies.  I think your computer has been infected by 'something' and I suggest that you download and run some SpyWare/Malware removal applications to eliminate that possibility.

These are my personal faves...

SUPERAntiSpyware (free Edition): http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html
MalwareBytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
SpyBot Search & Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

Download any one of them, update their virus definition database(s), and run a scan to see if your system is free from Malware.  Then please write back to let us know how you're doing.

Good luck!

I had this same message while trying to instal the game:
Quote
NSIS Error
Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.
...

I switched browsers and checked the MD5 hash of the file to see if it matched.[using WinMD5] It did, and the game installed fine. I know it's not the exact same issue but I did get the same error message and was able to resolve it.
