Help Needed Samarost II

Hi

I have the paid up version of Samarost II running under Wine, Xubuntu Jaunty, buuuuut it freezes in the same place as the online game.  I say freezes, the mouse disappears from gameplay, I can only click on pheral links like, volume & load level.  The mouse passes behind the whole scene before reappearing below/above.  I bought the game thinking this was locked out content, but it does exactly the same!  It's where the alien dude is oiling his machine I sabotaged earlier..

Please help with an otherwise excellent game!

I just tried to recreate the error but it does not affect my (paid) version of the game on an XP Pro sp2 machine.

Have you tried hitting the TAB key to see if that brings your pointer back to the foreground?
Or you could try probono's solution, "able to work around it somehow with a combo of right click, zoom in, move around a bit, zoom out again..."

Please reply with the results of your experiments.
