oil barrel BUG? [SOLVED]

I am not certain, but I think my game has a bug. I need to lure the dog from behind the barrels with the oil from the oil barell. However when I climb into the control booth and set the arrow to 4 o

Did you move it to 12 o'clock first? If so then set the dial to 6 and press play to move the barrel back to the centre.

As for the bug, turns out its not a bug after all.  I just failed to understand, how it works. I believed it to be a bug, because there were so many people complaining about being stuck and that pushing the green button doesnt help. I am now numerous puzzles further on and ejoying the game. Thank you for you response!!!!
