Frustrated! Humming eyeball birds on iPhone SE

Hi!  It seems impossible to get all seven birds humming at same time on iPhone 5s or SE. The screen is small. I have been at this longer than I care to admit. This happens early in the game, so the rest of the game is dead to me.  I have tried many strategies. Most of the time my fingers get in the way and the five creatures exits the screen by accident.

Hmm... It was even a little difficult to get them all howling or humming on the iPad, so I can imagine how frustrating that must be on a 5S. One suggestion would be to hold down your finger on one of the creatures and count for exactly 5 seconds (five seconds seemed to work perfectly), then lift your finger off and immediately move to another creature and repeat. If that doesn't work, perhaps some type of stylus would help?
