I've gotten to the big clock level.  The cursor and whatever objects I pick up wander randomly.  If I go to the cat & bird level, the game is essentially unplayable because of the wandering.  Are there any fixes or workarounds to this problem?  I'm using Arch Linux.

Thanks,
Burt

So, your mouse is essentially having a walk? You can't control it anymore? Sorry I just can't imagine.
Maybe the switch of the left button inside your mouse is stuck or something. You may check it out.

I've experienced that same thing on Linux, I dual boot so I switched to playing the game on windows.
It's more responsive now.

If you can't run it on windows, I'm not sure how to improve the performance on Linux.

Well, you can adjust the acceleration speed and other cool things. My mouse is as responsive under Linux as under Windows for me. Running the game in windowed mode seems to have more performance and playing with Hardware Acceleration may give some results.

I turned HW accelaration back on and was able to get the bird.  I guess I'll have to jiggle the settings as I go.

Thanks,
