iPad bug: sliding tiles disappear

I'm in the area with the cat that I have to electrify. I've retrieved the tile stolen by the bird and am now trying to solve the puzzle. But the tiles don't move correctly - sometimes one won't move from its space into an adjacent empty space - and one of them has disappeared; I think it was the one that would go at the very top.

Help! I don't think it's the way it's supposed to work; I think these are bugs.
