Samorost2 - Planina Level

Hello - I think my copy of Samorost must be broken.  When I get to the Planina level, I can release the dog from the parachute, and turn over the large bug, but although there is a hot spot over the large bug, nothing more can be done.  I can get the butterfly to repeat his trick of unrolling the long leaf, but that is all.
I love the game so far, but I can't help thinking there is something wrong with the coding here.

Any non-spoiler hints would be welcome - just telling me that my game isn't broken would be enough to keep me trying.  Right now it's just frustration - I can't go any further!

you need to get down the gnome from the pole. try to move the pole and swing the gnome together - the right timing is important.
